Discovered today that our vent hose was full of water (about half a pint), and in one place the coil had rusted to the extent that it had made a small hole!
I think it's as the outlet grid had a fine mesh that had got completely clogged work tiny bits of fluff over time.
There is mould on the wall from the damp build up, which I'll sort.
My question is, when I fit the new vent hose, could I terminate it on the outside on the wall, rather than on the inside as it is currently? This would mean steamy air not being able to build up inside the utility room and causing mould under the country. I'd still have an external cover to stop rain coming in, but maybe not mesh.
Thanks,
Mark
