Hi

I hope ive posted this in the right forum. Im moving my tumble dryer from the garage where the is a hose going through the wall to the outside to a pantry next to the kitchen. In the pantry there is an air vent.

I was hoping to use the existing hole in the wall instead of drilling a new one and just cut out a 4" hole in the air brick outside to mount the vent hose to the vent cowl.

Would this be ok? If so do I need to buy a vent kit or can I just connect the vent hose straight through the wall to the cowl? Somebody told me I need to swap the white plastic hose for aluminium?

Cheers

No problem with that, really - but you don't want any exhaust from the dryer entering the cavity wall, if there is one......
Presumably the air brick was just originally intended to ventilate the pantry?
