Turf in the heat for 24 hours?

I’m getting a turf delivery early tomorrow but not laying it until Saturday.

It’s going to be hot, should I wet it, cover it or leave it as it is?

I'd be tempted to cover it with sacking or old towels and wet it enough for the cover to provide evaporation rather than the turf

Its quite windy so I covered it with a sheet of ply. I’m going to try and get it all done tonight after work.

The early sun is on but that should be off it by now

I had 100mtrs off them last year and 65mtrs today. Delivery both times has been excellent and the grass I put down last year has been great.

I did half on Friday night and finished off Saturday morning. The garden seems bigger now, i’m very pleased with it

I was a couple of rolls short so rearranged it a bit to fill this gap

Its always best to lay turf on the hottest day of the year
