Hi, I am looking to replace one existing pendant light with two downlighters, I beleive that I can install a junction in the switch cable and run my second downlighter from this.

Is there any problems with doing this.
Thanks.

Thanks.

Only that when the switch is off that both downlighters will be at half power, the on position of the switch however will still allow the existing light to be switched full on (but your new one won't be on at all)

Not quite the result you want, I take it

(have a look at the diagrams in the reference section)
