Hi all.

Gona have to turn my water mains off due to a leak outside I think, running down into other properties and that worrys me.

Is there anything I need to consider when turning my mains off during freezing weather/snow? I'm gonna be using my combi boiler so can't turn on the hot water taps once I turn off the mains will just turning the cold taps and draining the cold water from the pipes be enough?

I was also planning on turning my water back on in the morning for an hour then off again for getting washed etc. is that ok to do?

Thanks.

Why need to do anything given that your combi boiler will still heat the property?

I was worried that the water pipes could freeze, or would having the heating on combat this?

The heating will offer protection to the pipes in the house.

Your pipes don't burst every winter...
