I have had wires just sticking through the wall for my TV for years and I decided to clean them up. Sunk in the 35mm box and feed through wires.
2 x LNB (only one used at moment) plus one return to loft which then feeds a 4 way splitter booster.
I saw a nice Labgear face plate with 4 connections 2 x F connector and 2 x IEC (f) only required 1 x IEC but not really a problem.
However once I opened it up there are only two connections. One to F connector marked SAT 2 and one to other three.
I will guess some loft box is designed to combine DAB, UHF and SAT all into one cable and there is a band pass filter to split them again.
Marked as PSW241 it is likely that this will do the job better but there was nothing shown with this socket to show it had a built in filter. Does anyone know what type the first is please?

You don't mention the main UHF downlead (as in standard TV), just the uplink?

So, just three cables?

Get a dual F connector plate (single gang) and a standard UHF TV plate. Put these on a dual box.

You will not find what you need on a single plate.

If you do have a UHF downlead too, are you able to take the LNB1 into the loft? I guess this can't be too tricky. If so, you could then use a triplexor in the loft to mix the UHF and LNB1 into the one downlead and use the standard plates with the triplexed output with uplink (and telephone too if you wish).

Those frontplates are designed for use with something called a diplexer. The additional SAT 2 input is there because you cannot combine two lots of the same together in the same downlead.

It combines all the frequencies together in the single downlead. This is usually the output from modern distrubution amplifiers and such.

You can buy standalone units like these:

Your links are to DIPLEXORS which combine UHF and FM/DAB.

You can get a DIPLEXOR which is combines UHF and SAT, but not in your link as far as I can see. Try here: http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page15.htm

A TRIPLEXOR will combine UHF, FM/DAB and SAT.

Thank you both these are at reasonable price and worth thinking about.
The TV aerial is already fed into the corner of the room with original TV plate. And the new plate was in main for SAT into room and TV out of room to loft area.

At less than 50p for plate with two connections one F and one std TV I will take a chance and buy one.

However the band pass filters for mast head mounting open up a whole new avenue and at £16 will not break the bank.

I had built my own band pass filters which it seems I can now dispense with? It was designed to stop RF from 144 to 146Mhz entering the TV.

The "PLATE4F wall plate with 4 'F' connectors." will do the job nicely in living room and if the cheap screwfix one is unsuitable I will order one.

Thank you again
