Help, just trying to sort out a 'little' problem with heating.
Problem was heat at rads upstairs while downstairs remained cool.
added cleaner and returned a couple of days later to drain and flush system then added inhibitor.
Bit of sludge flushed, nothing major.
System has 2 pumps side by side, a 'mate' of the owner had replaced an isolating valve between the 2 circuits and 'did something' in the loft a while ago and the heating was never the same.
It would appear that one pump/ circuit supplies heating and the other the hot water, with a by-pass valve between the 2. off the heating circuit another valve seemed to be supplying the hot water tank in the loft, hot water not switched on but lots of very hot water for months now.
I have isolated this circuit now, flushed, bled and balanced the system. No more hot water unless switched on, rads downstairs now getting warm, Am I missing something, it would appear that problem is solved but my spider senses tingle, I just cannot get my head around the system and worry about something going T-ts up, or am i just a F-nny.

Sorry about the essay, new to the site.
