Does anyone have a shedule of what loads these can take, looking for pantry shelving so could be 45kg per shelf if it got stacked fully with cans three high. Contacted 2 manufacturers and neither can be bothered to respond. They will hopefully only be screwed into the studs. Also need to know it 2 crewed into a dot and dab wall with corefix 100 would be able to support 3 sheves each with c. 35-40kg of books. TIA

Also the substrate of the walls where the shelving is to be fixed has to be considered. If plasterboard over studs is the walling, then fix only into the studs and use decent length and gauge screws, remembering to add for the thickness of the PB.

Ironmongery Direct do show “max weight” for some of their shelf brackets. For example, this one says 55 kg:

Thanks. Brackets will be ok as plan would be for each shelf to have min of 3 max of 5 and total load per shelf could be absolutely max 100kg, so even at 3 that's 33.3kg per bracket within tolerance in one instance, in another it would be 20kg per bracket.

The thing i cant find is what load the twin slot rails can take. If you have a 2m long rail and you put one shelf at max capacity for the bracket every 100mm, that would be 20 @ 55kg (the one you linked) does that mean the rail can take 1,040 kg ?

Would fix into studs with 65mm screws or into dot and dab with corefix 100

Used them in the pantry , have microwave and lots of dry good stacked on them. No problem with them fixed to hollow plasterboard walls .

Fix into the studs or into whatever the dot n dab is glued to. Load it up with your food, it will be fine

I used twin slot shelves in the garage, needed to use battens on the wall with loads of screws to keep that firm, then loaded up with lots of stuff way over the limits and has stayed up for 20 odd years now. I did find that an uneven wall can cause the rails to bend (front to back) when screwed tight, which may cause the shelf support brackets to not go in.

Also there are two different types of twin slot that are almost interchangeable, could be an imperial/metric switch? I had to extend the number of rails from the previous house when I moved and the new brackets rails needed a bit of filling to make them interchangeable. If you buy them all in one go it is not an issue, but if you extend later it may cause some temporary problems.
