Two browns and nothing else

Hi all

Just moved house and trying to take on alot of jobs myself this time round.

The bulb blew in the hall the other day, so went to change and found this - i will be changing the fitting at some point but dont know where to start as ive never seen this? Any help would be much appreciated ( no blue wire or earth as I can see)

The fixed wiring and a joint are probably behind the light fitting.

Hopefully there will be a cnnector under the plate that will have brown blue and earth wires
