Can anyone please tell me the name of the electrical component used to prevent one electric shower from being turned on when the other is in use when two electric showers are installed in a house

You are looking for a Change Over Switch, like this one here. You'll need the larger rated one unless your showers are really small 7 kW or less.

No its not a changeover switch its a box downstairs beside the fuse board and when one electric shower is turned on it gives that priority so the other one cannot be turned on.
