Question 1: Is it ok to tile over laminate flooring and if so is any special bonding material required on the laminate prior to tyling

Question 2: I have some wall tile adhesive left over - is it ok to use wall tile adhesive for the new floor tiles - and what difference is there between the two ?

Thanks

:) 1) No - Because the covering of a laminate floor while also making it hard to stain and scratch (apparently) make it impossible to stick to.

2) No- The glaze is very different on a floor tile to a wall tile. Also wall tiles aren't made for it so they will have incorporated NO grip...

Rip up the laminate and buy some floor tiles. They are just as cheap as floor tiles and most places let you bring back excess wall tiles.

is it secured firmly to the exsisting substrate?...

in essence you are proposing to tile a "floating" floor here bud...and that is a BIG NO..NO.. ;)
