Two tier: Sprayed chilli sauce in someone's face, got let off

A caution is probably ok in the circumstances.

its not being let off.

I'd suggest that her/it buying specifically chilli sauce shows it was both premeditated and intended to cause harm. I'm guessing she thought it would make his eyes painful like pepper spray. Thankfully it doesn't seem to have had that effect but I'm sure that was the aim.

The patronising bloke who turned up to calm her down and to try and persuade the victim to let her off proves the need for an offence of being an irritating bugger.

There's going to be a lot more of this sort of crazy anger after the next election. Toys will be thrown from many prams as the woke madness is shoved back into its box.

Beige jumper man said something about "suicide" just after. Guess that was what her friend died from. Sad, but that doesn't excuse it.

A lot more than hurty words, got just a caution...

Pretty much standard labour party supporter these days. Probably needs some sort of care order really, appears to be out of control.
Another pathetic nothing story

Meanwhile we have millions of people suffering food and fuel poverty.

Common Assault, still fits.

The woman was out of order, but he is lucky that he wasn't arrested. He had no powers to detain her. A citizen's arrest is only allowed if the person has committed an indictable offence- a crime that would be tried in a crown court.

Her slapping him? He was illegally detaining her. A caution for her seems appropriate but it would have been fairer if he sued her for the costs of cleaning his clothes.

He knew that he would illicit aggressive responses and as such, I don't have much sympathy for either of them.
