could anybody help with a diagram to allow two lights to be turned on at the same time by two separate pir s or is as simple as linking the live wires together.
Most can be wired together "bus" fashion, ie linking the live and neutral feeds and the switched outputs. But be aware some mfrs do not recommend more than one PIR to control the same load.
Securespark is correct. It all depends on the PIRs. If they control their loads through relay contacts then you can parallel them freely. Problems can arise if they use TRIACs and it's even worse if either or both of them gets its own power by pinching some volts from the load. Hint: any kind of PIR or time switch with only two connections must be doing this.
