I've heard that two way switches can be wiried using two core. Not that I want to do it, but has anyone got a diagram of how this is done?

Yes & no.

You can't completely wire a 2 way switch using T&E, as that would involve using the cpc (earth wire) as a live conductor, a huge no-no.

However, you can use T&E as strappers (links) between switches.

In older two-way circuits, it is very common (excuse the pun) to find a live feed at one switch & a switchwire at the other, the two linked by a run of T&E.

In this scenario, it is possible to "wire" a two way switch by piggy-backing off a live common to an adjacent common terminal & connecting twin & earth to the L1 & L2 terminals of that switch.

I've done it, using 2 T&E cables, making the neutral on one cable redundant. Needs must, etc.
