****ty life

Yea, it wasn't right...too expensive and too far......

My brother wants me to move in with him.

Trouble is, I live in South Wales, he lives in North Devon!!!

He is disabled, one leg, pacemaker, diabetic. We get on great.

My daughter is here in South Wales. In Uni studying law.

She wants me to go live with my brother. She is all for it. She is going to Canada with Uni in a years time as she is on a course that has a year abroad.

She wants to live in Canada eventually. And especially now that she has a Canadian boyfriend. Who is on same uni course as her.

My daughter keeps going on that she is independent now. That she can't be around me like she used to do. I am finding it difficult to see me moving away from her. She will be 20 in October.

My brother's place is 3hrs away.....

It's tempting.....I just not sure.

He knows I have to move out of here by end of July as landlords girlfriend is moving here from Ukraine.

Everything is so expensive to rent.....

Thats a good plan.. Do it. Devon is beautiful.

Trying to get my head around the fact that I will be 3hrs away from my bestest friend in the world, my heartbeat, my daughter.....that's the hardest part....

She says she will be moving to Canada to work once Uni is over. Then, she will be thousands of miles away!!

Her mum is close to my heart too. We are divorced but I still care about her a lot. She doesn't want to get back together though. Nope. No chance. We were together 31 years. Unfortunately things went pear shaped...my bad...

Anyway, I am still working part time. Finding that hard at 62 with back and knee issues. I want to keep working but that may not work out.

Brother is 75. I think he could do with some help and looking after. I go see him once a month.

I have to think long and hard about it. Only thing holding me back is the thought that I may only see my girl once every couple weeks. We are EXTREMELY close but, she is drifting away as she gets on with life. That hurts. I know I have to let her do her own thing. I have ALWAYS been there for her, 24/7...I will always be there for her no matter what...

Go for a couple of weeks to give it a try and see what you think. I get on great with my daughter who lives close by but we spent a number of years, 18+ living 200 miles apart, although seeing each other at least once a month.

I know its not easy but with modern technology, video calls and such like you can still stay in close contact.

Sounds like it will be a positive for both you and your brother, and your daughter is clearly letting you gently that she's not going to be around forever. Assuming you'll get a reduced rent from your brother you can put money toward an annual flight to Canada to visit.

Sorry about the divorce, happens to the best of us. Me and the wife split up not long after buying a waterbed, I think we just drifted apart.
