****ty life

I'm on that path.
I am a bit odd, not sociable, problably on a spectrum or three.
I was getting depressed even before my wife died.
Now, I don't have anything to get up for. Loads of things going wrong; can't walk, CBA to get a wheelchair, a hundred and something pills a week. GP asked if I wanted to see someone.
She asked if I'd ever thought about ending my life, so I said "well, sometimes, obviously".
Did I want to see someone?
Yeah, maybe, I said.
Now the buggers won't leave me alone. They want to turn up every day. It's nearly always two fat African women. I sent most away.
They sit there - always different people, asking the same questions.
Useless.
I suppose I could go private, but I've done it all before. CBA.
Brave of you to say this. I enjoy reading your posts even the ones you have a pop at me on. I think you are a clever fella as far as investing etc goes and I hope you get the help you need for your problems. You shouldn’t have to feel this way with today’s drugs and medications to help you in the short term. My opinion for what it is worth is you are a top bloke.

As good as the NHS is, it is largely a tick-box exercise when it comes to mental health. Of course they don't have the funds and resources to sponsor a 1-2-1 councellor.
Going private does enable that. You at least 'feel' that they care. You're basically buying a 'friend', a listening ear. I thoroughly and wholeheartedley recommend it.

The forum allows people to get or give a pop , without damage. Life, innit.

My situation escalated today
Knock on the door:
Three medics and 2 uniformed plod. Warrant to get in. Looking after my mental health.
Jeeesus. Hopefully I made them feel like they ballsed up.

Apparently I have to engage with the Fat African Co, or they come and take me away
FFS.
"Exactly how is that going to help" no answer.
"You gonna put me in a straightjacket?"
"How does that improve someone's mental health?"

FAC phoned asking me what happened. I told them to look at their report. I'm OK, Bye.

When I first left the army, I was a bit messed up and certainly not my normal self, a mate of mine tried to kill himself and attempted to jump off the humber bridge. I thought I was obviously in better shape than he was although some mornings I woke up and thought to myself "Oh god I am still here, he got detained in a secure unit to prevent him from doing the same thing again. He now runs a fairly succesfull business and has a new lease on life. Looking back on those dark days it would have been so easy to have ended it all to relieve the suffering, thank god he never suceeded and I got the help I needed to get through my own pain. I found most of the support I received a complete waste of time but later found some really good help. You just can't give up looking, I paid for private counseling and although expensive, it gave me a new lease on life and the anxiety I was going through became less and less.

Has anybody tried the Samaritans, they seem to get a good write up, and AFAIK they offer a wider range of support than just for those on the edge.

Take my friend. You are a good guy.

I've got rid of the Fat African squad. Jeez. I just lied, yes this, no to that.
Except when they asked if I would promise tocall an ambulance if I decided to end my life, I said I thought that would be counterproductive.
They said they couldn't get hold of me, but I'd replied to their phone messages judiciously, by text. "I'm OK".
They have been completely incompetent, in my view.
That started day one, when they said I had to recognize a "higher power". Same as the AA lot do.
Luckily she was just leaving, otherwise I'd have poked her 25 stone blubberousness out through the door with my four footed walking stick asap.

---

More fknincompetence from HMRC.
I got a letter saying I owe them 27k and it's late so they've added interest.
They never told me I owed them anything.
No letter
No email
No sms.
I'm guilty for not checking the Portal, apparently.
I might be psychopathic
But I'm not bloody psychic!
They also don't bother to tell you the payment details.
So I called, and got put through as far as such moaners get put.
At each stage you have to repeat your numbers and DOB and....etc.
Bloke sounded bored out of his skull.
"I understand what you're saying but that's not the system".
"When you make a payment, you need to keep checking The Portal in case we need more"

Nobody to complain to, no email, so I have to write a letter.
If it was a company, you'd
A) stop using it and
B) expect it to go bust.

Surrounded by idiots

In recent weeks yes I have, three times.
In 10 minutes they haven't answered the phone, each time.
That's counter productive, too.
