type of flue liner for 4kw stove

had a few quotes recently for a stove to be installed, all 4 companies gave different specifications on the type of flue they'd use, but all consistent in that it needs to be a rigid flue- which inflated the cost as the existing chimney has 2 bends in it.

my sisters recently had a quote where they advised on using a flexible flue liner- which would be a lot quicker and easier for me.

what is actually needed to comply with building regs? is a flexible flue liner acceptable and are just the guys i spoke to inflating the cost by using a rigid flue.
