Hi, we've got to paint the entire interior of a cottage which has cob walls and has been recently plastered. Whats the best brand/type of paint for the walls which will allow the cob to 'breath' and can also go on stud walls?
We've already done a mist coat with very cheap, watered-down, white paint.

We used limewash - thinned down sieved lime plaster - you have to put it on very thin and use a number of coats (I think we ended up with 5), but cheap and effective. There's also lots of good info on Mike Wye's website: https://www.mikewye.co.uk/product-category/paints-oils-waxes/
and worth buying this: https://theblackdogpress.bigcartel.com/product/lime-in-building-a-practical-guide-by-jane-schofield
