I suspect you were very happy with Brit's colonising other parts of the world?I would agree with Ratcliffe, we are slowly but surely being colonised by mass inward immigration.

Immigration which increased after brexit, which he championed as being the way to do the opposite!I would agree with Ratcliffe, we are slowly but surely being colonised by mass inward immigration.

and on that score how well did the indigenous people do ?I suspect you were very happy with Brit's colonising other parts of the world?

history would tell us that mass invasion and colonisation is terrible for the original inhabitants - so if you don't mind I will argue not to have my life or my children’s ruined bu mass inward immigration.

all of those - also think what happened to the native americans (Indians)Did you have a period of history in mind?
The Romans, perhaps, or the Normans. The Angles and Saxons, maybe?
It used to be said the Norse replaced the indigenous Britons when they invaded but subsequent research into archaeological discoveries, and the advances in dna testing, reveal the story isn't so straightforward. Thier migration was forced by a need for farmland which the British Isles had in abundance compared to Norway, for instance, and modern migrants are looking for similar opportunities, albeit in an urban cityscape.all of those - also think what happened to the native americans (Indians)
and yes I know we are the descendants of vikings and Normans and .... 1000+ years ago. But why would that fact make me want to be colonised by others ? Like any indigenous group there is nothing wrong in wanting to keep what we have built
Remind Ellal. I’m sure it’s not about people that he believes own highly polluting companies.Remind us what the topic of this discussion is. I'm sure it's not Ellal.

Irrelevant of his estimation of the U.K. population, vs official statistics, which of course excludes those living here illegally.. our welfare bill in increasing rapidly, by about 10% a year and it’s not just due to pensions.
There is also some evidence that foreign born take a greater share of benefits than “home” born. Not a huge amount, but enough to dispel the myth that immigrants are more financially productive. In fact if you take account of earnings required for visas, the difference is probably greater.
show your source.
Trouble is, certain ethnicities don’t integrate. They form their own little colonies and push others out. That pysses people off.I suppose one could assert we are being gradually colonised, however I struggle to see that even with the numbers we see coming in.
Very trueWe need immigration.
As an aside, anyone who thinks we should have zero immigration is as best misinformed.
A 'think-tank' can come up with whatever conclusion you want it to, depending on the opinions of those 'experts' in said 'think-tank'. I saw it all the time when I was working in the charity education business. The UK economy would be 3.6% smaller by 2040 if net migration fell to zero, forcing the government to raise taxes to combat a much bigger budget deficit, a thinktank has predicted"
