All on the make from the rest of us, it all amounts to the same thing.Of the remaining six million, about one and half million are unemployed, about three and a half million are classed as unable to work due to health, and about a million are caring either for young children or those with disabilities.
Obviously all three categories have genuine stories of need. But some people are much more skilled at being in need than others. Council estates and social media are universities in benefits claiming, they all swap tips on what boxes to tick and what stories to cobble together.
You can't have generous benefits for those genuinely in need AND prevent fraud. Many conditions are self-diagnosed or can be easily faked. The choice is between tough for all and a country with a future, or everyone in need gets looked after and we continue our current path towards national bankruptcy and mass poverty on a scale not seen since victorian times.
