This is all so much smoke and mirrors. What are they measuring that shows a bounce back to above pre-pandemic levels? Have all the closed companies re-opened and some new ones opened on top? Have all the closed shops and pubs re-opened and some new ones as well? Has the extra £400 billion printed been paid back and cancelled? Have the teachers been working around the clock to make up for the two years' lost education?

Why are prices rising so rapidly? A true sign of economic success would be that the pound in your pocket could buy more goods than before.
