UK Policy of tackling covid through herd immunity

How about a conspiracy theory on herd immunity. At some point they are likely to need people that are immune - who better than those that recover. No other ones are available. A test that shows people have had it was mentioned. I suspect this is the self test that shows that the immune system is trying to handle it so can also be used to test for it and could be made available.

If they roll out a vaccine too quickly the population might fall so much that there is no need to worry about climate change :)
 
Looks like the Government models were wrong which was everyone was saying but the RWR on here were defending. Looks like another policy change.

Boris Johnson announced stringent new measures — including social distancing of the whole population — on Monday after modelling from Imperial College warned the government’s previous, more measured, approach would have overwhelmed hospitals with demand for intensive care beds. The new coronavirus strategy could cut UK deaths from Covid-19 to “a few thousands or tens of thousands” through to the autumn, but the researchers questioned whether such extraordinary restrictions could be sustained beyond that point.
