Wagner have taken control of the southern military district HQ in Rostov and the senior staff there seems to have come over to his side in the coup.
If they could secure control of the military then the coup has a chance but the odds are very long.

Problem is that IF this wagner guy does topple putin he will take charge and he is a thousand times worse than putin. I think that Nato, such as it is, will have no choice but to step in and that could well be the end of all of us.

Prighozin isn't interested in the Ukraine war- he has been highly critical of the reasons for the way, as well as the conduct of it.

He has set up the generals as the fall guys for the conduct of the war, and used the counter offensive so puttin can be blamed for russsian withdrawal and defeat. That takes some planning. Just needs some public demonstrations and a few key figures to put their hat in the ring, and there’s a new czars.
