Ukraine counter offensive

You'll be telling us next that Ukraine is a far-away country, of which we know little.
It is a far away land. I couldn't point it out on a map if you were to test me. I did know a ukrainian, he did work on my flat. Along with his polish masters, they were a bunch of criminals. I am sure you will understand my sentiments of fighting until the last ukrainian.

I doubt anybody has the exact figure, but if you seriously believe it's not a problem you're in a minority. And I can't put a figure on that either.
Whatever figure you think it is I'll bet you're overestimating it. Because everyone overestimates the amount of fraud and abuse of the benefits system. It has been studied extensively and people consistently overestimate it, more on the right than the left but everyone gets it wrong.

This is one of those topics you need to look at the figures for.

Nah they were probably all Russians ;)

The Telegraph are reporting that the USA might send troops after all to keep the peace in Ukraine.

There can be no "peace in Ukraine" unless they're invited to take part in the peace talks. America cannot simply impose conditions on them and expect them to stop fighting.

Global military spending hit $2.44 trillion in 2023, or $306 per person, marking a 6.8 percent increase from the previous year, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). This was the largest year-on-year rise since 2009.

Ukraine are already spending a third of their GDP, and nearly two thirds of government spending, on the military at around $60Bn. (Go to Al Jazeera for a full analysis). Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, former deputy head of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told Al Jazeera that Ukraine will need more help than Europe can offer. “Europe can’t possibly replace American aid,” he said, adding that Ukraine won’t survive long without US military aid and predicting, “We will last six months.”

Is that the magic number you were waiting for to pop the champagne?
Or is that not enough?
