You have got rather confused with defence support in the form of training, technical back up and active military combat. There are several hundred US / NATO personnel inside Ukraine and a few thousand in the area…..but none of those are in active combat so chances of lives being lost is very slim.

So Nosealls claim that “no US lives have been lost” is correct (there may have been a few deaths, nothing is risk free)
