I have seen no evidence of Trump selling out Ukraine in favour of Putin. I do see Trump taking full advantage of Ukraines position and exploiting it for himself though. Ukraine would get security garantees from the deal but lose its wealth to the US, Europe dips out here too. So what does Putin get in return?

Well yes but he also took Crimea before that and nobody is calling for that to be given back. Unfortunately a lot of blood has been spilled to get what he has taken already. He isn't about to give that back. I agree it was wrong of him to take it in the first place but unfortunately he has it now, the thing is now to stop him taking any more of Ukraine.
