i recently suffered a slight head trauma, as some of you already know.

my work colleague suffered a thumb injury about a year ago that was quite debilitating to say the least.

it got me thinking, is there an ideal injury that you could suffer/endure? what would have the least debilitating consequences?

if you were asked to forsake a major part of your body what would it be?

internal or external?

I suppose the belly button would be the ideal as all it ever does is collect fluff

I think losing the ability to speak would be very bad

then the ability to see

then use of (at least one) hand

I might be willing to lose a leg or two as at least there are plenty of aids to help you get about

by the way, the head injury was relatively painless and not at all debilitating. it healed fast too.

it was the A&E nurses that made it painful.

In order of preference ...

So half bottle finger into machine few months off on full pay and a nice little bonus

With my missus in mind...

Loss of hearing would be a bonus.

Loss of 'tadger' seeing as it wouldn't missed anyway.
