I have just installed low voltage undercupboard downlights in the kitchen.
They are wired into a fused spur from the ring main. whenever I use a major elecrical item in the kitchen the lights go on and off.Is there anything I can do to prevent this :?:

Are you sure you've wired the spur in correctly - something sounds rather strange there. It's quite common for lights to dim briefly when you use a large amount of current somewhere (common one is electric showers), someone did post an explanation once, but I can't remember it off the top my head.

I assume you notified your LABC before doing this, since any electrical work in a kitchen is notifiable under Part P of the building regs?
