I've rubbed down an old varnished chair and primed it, and under coated it (white). I'm now ready for the topcoat (pale blue).
The wife now wants me to de-stress it once I've got the top coat on; just rub it back to the wood in places, and back to the undercoat in some other places.
My question; is it okay to have the undercoat showing through or should I use a white top coat before the final pale blue, so I will be finally exposing a white top coat rather than the white undercoat?
Many thanks.
