Hi,

Can anyone offer an opinion on whether the Costco Forester Solid Oak Flooring would be suitable with underfloor heating in screed?

We've been advised to glue the planks to the screed.

However, other advise is that engineered wood is more stable and better for UFH.

Does the wood creak at the joints?

Does anyone actually have this combination in their house?

Many Thanks

If you want to use Solid Oak on UFH it can only be the narrower boards - and most manufacturers would recommend against using Solid floorboards thicker than 10mm in combination with UFH_ too much risk of problems with the wood drying out.

Wood-Engineered is a much better option, more choice too

Thanks for the information, much appreciated. This concurs with information from other sources too.
