What type of cable is acceptable to use in a waterproof under ground duct between an entrance gate and the house.

Plan to use 3 inch rain water down pipe solvent welded joints for the ducting. Gate end will glanded into an IP62 or better box, house end in a cupboard.

Circuits are 230 volt AC

[1] triple and earth for a two way light ciruit
[2] twin and earth feed to gate motor
[3] twin and earth feed to lights at the gate.

also low voltage control circuits possibly in YY cable as it is available.

In a domestic installation would 12 core YY be acceptable for the various 230v conductors together with a 10 mm earth conductor ?. Core identification information sheet to be permanent at both ends. The owner is getting conflicting information from electricians and is concerned.

You don't need 12 live cores, you need 7! , and that may go down if you think carefully about how you do the lighting? (is it just lights on the gatepost, which can be controlled from both gatepost and house?)

You shouldn't be thinking of T+CPC and Trip+CPC, You want a couple of SWAs, one for the gate which will probably be two-core, and one for the lights, for which I shouldn't imagine more than 4 core will be needed if you go about things in a sensible way

The 12 core YY happens to be available and in 500 metre lengths. The duct run is going to be around 180 metres.
