Uni Finish

It sounds good Micilin,, we'll have to give it a go and see what it's like. It's gonna work on many different surfaces, from low to high levels of suction, and from low to high levels of key,, so it says anyway. I wonder what the price per bag will be? I'll certainly give it a go anyway.

word is its crap to use as they have added somthing like pva in it and it s spreads like rubber you know how your finish goes if you get a bit of pva on it? its like that i was talking to our friend jr on facebook the other day hes stopped using multi and now uses board finish because there are rumers that
they have added this mix to normal multi finish bags to get spreads used to it and get feed back , and guess what? ive been spreading for the last 2 weeks on a site and i was running out of finish today so the contractor goes and buys some more from travis perkins , i start using the new bags and, my finish was acting like it had pva in it it was a nightmare to spread it was taring and sticking to my trowel horrible stuff it was i told them straight im not spreading this anymore and told them the rumers about it so he takes it back only to get more bags from the same place i gave them a go and exactly the same thing happend i was going to phone gypsum up when i got home but i got home to late to do it, i tell you now if it is the same stuff that was in my bags you wont like it have a read at this http://www.plasterersforum.com/general-discussions-plastering/43551-wtf-going-multi-finish.html

I've noticed a difference with the multi finish lately as well. You no sooner put it on, and it starts to pick up right away. Before, you put the first coat on, and had to wait a while before the second coat went on, but now it's picking up right away. I wish they'd leave the bloody stuff alone. You can bet your life that the British Gypsum clowns that are messing about with the "receipe", know nothing about using it. :x

ThERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MULTI FINISH BRITISH GYPSUM, SO WHY ARE YOU MESSING ABOUT WITH IT. :x

Multi finish used to be 2 1/2 hour setting time and board finish 1/12 hour setting time, now all plasters have a 1 1/2 hour setting time. the extra setting time with multi, was extremely useful on large sets. If its not broke, why try and fix it. I think they should put it back to how it was!
