How long would 5 course cavity wall above a 900mm opening stay up without a lintel.
The wall is bwk external and 100mm block internal

It's an existing external door neighbour's got it into head there's no lintel, there's very slight bowing but door opens no problem, like I said if it was unsupported it would have gone long ago

Had too many vinos then sunshine

Could be, although I would base it on the fact that it's lasted 33 years so what's another 267? My 150 year old house was full of just timber door frames with 5 or 6 courses of brickwork on top. Bit of wood with some bricks on top was just normal for a small opening till the industry invented lintels

Self arching brickwork is nothing new, it's why bricktor was invented. But to self-arch successfully it needs a decent body of masonry above, full perp' joints, decent bonded masonry and decent muck. The risk of failure increases once any of those items are absent.
