Hi all, wondered if anyone can give me an easy fox for this problem? I have a PVC door which works on the usual basis that, when you lock the door, you need to push the door handle upwards and that puts all the locking tabs (is that what they're called?) into place. My problem is that, when I push the door handle upwards, it needs a real thump to get it moving. I'm sure I'm not doing it any good when I thump it so hard! I have no idea where to start in terms of getting access to the mechanism or seeing if I can fix it. Is this more of a job for a specialist than a DIY novice like me (I do own two screwdrivers and a spanner....). If it is a specialist job, if anyone knows someone who lives in Preston, Lancashire and will do a decent job without my needing to mortgage the house, I'd appreciate any contact details! Thanks
