Hi we have recently moved in a new house and there is a Galaxy alarm from 1994 fitted. The problem is I need to change some light fittings but when I turn the fuse box off the bell goes off. So I have removed the battery from the main board but it still goes off.

Any ideas would be a great help

Thanks

That “battery” you have removed keeps the system running in a power cut ....so it needs replacing ....or a set of ladders to disconnect the battery in the bell box

Looks like big ladders then does the cover come off easy ? and do I just disconnect the battery?

Should I turn the mains off first.

Thanks for the help.
