Urgent Gas work done 18month ago gas pipe was nicked

The electrical cable in the tissue shot needs held away by 50mm from the copper pipe or the pipe insulated where they cross.

the lack of gradual decline needs addressing

the nick in the 15mm pipe needs cutting out and replacing.

the boiler needs a fixing in the bottom one side or the other to hold it level.

That monstrous woodchip floor is the worst workmanship in the whole house. I would never buy a house with wheetabix floor. ~get the original back to change it. Although it is so long ago now it will be hard to attach blame.

Basically what wheetabix contruction says about you is. "I don't know the first thing about what I am doing and it's effects on me and my maintainers in the future."

Are you experienceing walking on hills and valleys and lots of creaking yet? you soon will. you poor victim of terrible house design.

Cheers Paul you have really cheered me up about my house floor but thanks for confirming what needs addressing

all paul said is spot on. As per your gas pipe. How do you know 100% that the prev enginneer caused it?

It is also possible that whomever did it thought it was a water pipe. As also said a TT would have been completed and the installation proven safe.

I would never in a million years leave a boiler un-level. I was alos told some time ago that a un-level boiler can lead to problems with kettling etc in the future\?

Could have happened to anyone imho

Hi,

He installed pipes under there due to upgrading the system and the floor was not cut before hand so that cut pipe is in line with a saw cut he must off done to remove the board

Hopefully he gets back to me to correct these issues then i doubt it but hey you never know

Thanks for your time all

Reading between the lines, seems like the gas pipe used was the one feeding the old boiler. Depening on the new boiler and run of the pipe (distance & amount of bends) should that not have been replaced to 22mm?

It looks like a Worcester 12Ri. 18Ri or 24Ri.

Depending on the boiler power and the distance from the meter will determine what size gas supply pipe is needed.

But the OP said that pipe is only feeding a gas fire. If thats correct then its sized adequately.
