why did you change the pump what was the fault
what shower valve is it (make and model)
is it thermostatic or manual

the pump was faulty it never turned on when the shower was on so i replaced it.

hhhmm.. shower valve is a aqualisa manual i think...

turn off power to pump and water supply's
pull on off knob off shower valve
remove 4 screws on temp control lever
where the 4 screws go into valve you will have a coloured ring (grey, blue, or white) grey is thermostatic the other two are manual.
remove 4 screws in cartridge and pull out if it's like a spring check it's not broken
the port at rear off shower is hot water the side port (slot) is cold
leave power to pump off turn on one supply at a time and check that hot water comes from rear port and cold from side port

i assume you have the round shower and not the long one

post back your findings

i've tried a similar method i think.

i've turned the pump off and then go to the mixer at the shower and when i turn the lever to cold, cold water comes out as it should. when i turn to hot only a little bit of water comes out but still warm.

once i turn the power back on for the pump there is no hotwater, not even warm.

if i feel the pumps inlet and outlet the hoses are hot so i dont understand why no hot water coming from the mixer.

if its a thermostatic shower and the supply,s are crossed the stat will shut down and not allow any hot water through valve, or if stat is thermostatic and it's broken they fail on full hot or cold so you only get hot or cold water out of valve

does the grey bit in the centre come out or the bit behind it ?

the shower has been fitted too deep in the wall when it was fitted,
you will need to remove the outer plate and the shroud and you will see 4 more screws that hold the stat in the valve

i am calling it a day now i will be on line tomorrow am or tomorrow evening if you require more help

i suspect the fault is the shower valve not the pump
