I want to install battery powered under cabinet puck lights under the black kitchen cabinets, can anyone recommend a nice brand.

..... this is a UK based website. There are some members from various other parts of the world, but most are UK. As such, there will be few here who will know what is available where you are.
Also, as a matter of general netiquette (not just for this forum), it's a bad idea to hi-jack a thread like this. You are better off starting your own thread to ask the question - apart from etiquette reasons, quite a few will have decided this thread is of no interest to them and won't see your posting to it. One of those could just be the one that would have had the answer you want had they seen your post.
Oh yes, there is an electrics outside the UK section on here. You could try asking there, but I think you would be better finding a forum where the majority of users are closer to home - and will have a better idea of what might be available to you.

Are your cabinet fixtures recessed or surface mounts? Mine are recessed but are connected to the mains (120V). I’m using LED and got them off http://www.illustralighting.com because I needed one with higher CRI. I’m planning to get some battery-powered ones from homedepot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sylvania-Dot-It-Silver-LED-Battery-Operated-Stick-On-Tap-Light-36010/100670785) though for comparison. But I think it would be too much of a hassle though to keep changing batteries, especially if your fixtures aren’t very accessible.
