I was in a Guest House and saw these 2 USB sockets.....I plugged my iPhone in and it went crazy, the lightning symbol the normal shows charging was going crazy, flashing on and off,......and it started to DRAIN the Battery....same in both. I tried my Plug and Charger and it worked fine. What sort of plugs are tey and should they be in a Guesthouse?

You never know who has done what to those charge points. Maybe also not the best quality items.
There’s no reason why sockets like those shouldn’t be in a guest house. At least your iPhone survived.

Did you report it to the owner?

Rusty or bent pins inside the USB port that caused an intermittent connection?

If it really was draining the battery then the socket need replacing as the USB module inside it has become faulty.

I have never had a problem with Samsung phone, but iPhone are well known for not following international agreed protocols, so not surprised if they have included something to stop the use of third party chargers.
