I've just been given some 4' long, 6" wide decking offcuts by a neighbour. I'm trying to figure out what to do with them, and as I am currently building a shed, thought they'd be usable to clad one side of it. (Won't actually look that odd as only one side of the shed is visible, it's wedged between garden fence and garage wall, and the fence also continues directly behind it) I'm gonna have to remove fence panels to clad the other unseen sides using featheredge board.
How best to fix these deckboards though? I'll probably be using those clutch head security screw from screwfix (I want shed to be pretty secure), but not sure whether to leave grooved side out or inwards, or whether to go vert, horizontally or diagonal?
They will be going around a window and a door.
