Hi,

I'd much appreciate it if someone could help me out. I'm trying to replace a 2 way 2 gang light switch (I only need it for one way use) but foolishly I didn't record where the wires should go!

I've got three cable (2 core and earth) entering the switch. One from an outside light, one from a hall light and one from a spur in the light loop. I think this means that I need to use the light switch as a junction box but I can't work out where the wires should go.

Replies much appreciated

You know which wire goes where then??

And the 'spur' as you say, this is connected to the constant live 'loop' terminal and the neutral terminal in the rose??

Should be straight forward for you to figure this out

Cable from rose to switch that is constantly live will be used with the outside light. The neutrals will need joining in a terminal block in the rear of the switch.

The other two core is the switch drop from the hall light, I am assuming. This will need some red sleeve, and will connect to the other switch.
