Using a Stihl saw indoors in occupied property

Buy a couple of rolls of carpet protection film, it should stick to your floors, overlap each section and you'll basically have a very large plastic sheet which most of the water and dust will stay on top of instead of soaking into the floor, you should then be able to mop or wet vac the worst of the mess up before rolling up the remains into a ball when taking the film up.

Handling a 300mm grinder while skating across wet plastic flooring........

..... what could possibly go wrong?

This did happen in January as planned.

I built some trays from old ply, and 2x1 timbers around the edge. Then glued some plastic sheeting in. These were placed either side of the doors - the cutting guys looked confused, and said it was futile.... but actually we did OK! It caught 90% of the water.

They had a big wet vac, and hoovered it as they went, and on the nearby flooring. By the next day everything was dry.

So it is possible to wet cut in an occupied building.... just about!
