Afternoon all

we're tiling our kitchen floor with grey ceramic tiles. to keep continuity (and save cash) we want to use them for some areas of the wall that need protection.

Now, I believe floor tiles can be used on walls, unlike the other way round.

But I want to check about adhesive:

do I use floor adhesive when putting them on the floor, and wall adhesive when putting them on the wall?

Or do I use floor adhesive because they're floor tiles even though they're being mounted vertically (which seems unlikely to me)

Or should I just get an all in one floor and wall adhesive....

Thanks,

Ian

Is your floor is concrete?

Use a powdered adhesive,if you get flexi adhesive its normally only a couple of pounds more, you can then use it on the wall too.

Depending on the wall surface you may need some acrylic primer first.

thanks for that

the floor is concrete, altough I need to remove some existing tiles first.

the walls were newly plastered about 4 weeks ago, but haven't been coated with anything.

So I can use the same stuff for both if I prime the plaster first, or instead use seperate stuff for the wall that has acrylic already in it.

thanks,

Ian
