Has anyone (small businesses/one man bands etc) had experience of using subbies from the likes of "hexa" who texted me per hour rates such as £8 for mates, £10 for "improvers" and £15 for qualified electricians. I have a lot of work coming up but require more than just casual labour as need to run two or more jobs at the same time, and need to leave staff to work on own initiative. Obviously this costs more but don't mind as long as its value for money. Any advice welcomed, I just see it as a way of expanding without too much risk/red tape compared to full time staff or apprentice route..What are the pitfalls, is there a minimum contract length, are there hidden costs/administration etc.
