Just working on refurb of what we use as a utility room - still WIP

room is 2.5m x 5.8M

I fitted a new floor to make level with the house (66/67mm ) - 40mm insulation - 22mm flooring - vinyl about 4/5mm

we then fitted out with ikea kitchen cabinet's
I got the wrong radiator size - I orginally planned for an 800 but purchased a 1000 - so decided i could move all the units up the room a bit - but that meant cutting around a boxed in pipework

I did not do the plastering - we had someone in for that

still got the sinkunit / worktop and then 2 40cm ikea 2m high doors - BUT they will be at an angle across the room
you can see the pillar with clamps on where I have been working out the angle and placement

I will add a finished photo in a few months I guess , as the sink unit and worktop need some help from sons , so a weekend sometime !!!!

plus ii thought the dot& dab was going to be 9mm but it was 15mm board and plaster skim so miscalculated some of that ( yep 5-8mm may make a bit of difference - managed to still get the draws to close !!!!!!!!

The colour choice and layout all my wifes idea - i'm not precious of that stuff - i just design whats she wants and make adjustments where necessay

a couple of before and an after so far WIP

That looks really smart - wish I had a utility room that big!

How difficult was the herring bone floor? I like the look but fear it could be a pain to lay nicely! Yours looks great.

Thanks - its vinyl , every one who sees it for real also thinks its real
came from carpetright or the company that took them over (they also fitted , bloody expensive to fit )
