Is it at all possible to have a small utility / shower room with just a partition to separate them? Room is 3m x 3m roughly. From endless googling it seems there are regs that electricals would be an issue and even if you could work a way round this then you would still need a special type of washing machine tumble drier that is designed to withstand the humidity - I can't even find such a thing online!?

Any replies appreciated.

Not sure but I looked at a house that had a shower in the conservatory.

Yeah, you can have the shower and washer/ drier in the front room if you like, as long as you install a fan.
