Hi there everyone

I am looking for advice from anyone who has a hardwood floor - my Dyson ( which I hate ) is scratching my new wooden floor.

Can anyone out there recommend a hoover that will be kind to it, also one that will work well on stone floors too, as well as carpet  ?

Appreciate all comments - thanks in advance

can youm not geat an "atachment" that has a brush round the permiter?

no vacuum cleaner should dammage a floor unless a metal component is protruding or the plastic has bits of grit stuck to or embedded in it wheels included[they are favorate]

I hate Dysons

I hate laminated wooden floors

Is a vacuum cleaner really necessary for wooden floors?

Would a simple mop be better for the job?

Vileda do a 'dry' mop especially for wooden floors, you shouldn't need to vac them. If the vac is scratching, as mentioned there is probably something wrong with the brush attachment oo you have picked up something abrasive, e.g. a piece of wire or grit of some kind.
