well it seems It was not me 
eventually found the exact leak. yes it was the rad pipe but no where near the radiator i removed. It seems the chippy who laid the oak in the hall way, secured a floor board with some nails.
Found 1 pin hole puncture, plumber is repairing as I type.
Luckily did not lose too much oak as we haven't finished laying it.
