Vaillant EcoMax 828e

Hi,

I'm new here, and was hoping that someone could help.

I have a Vaillant EcoMax 828e. Within the last yeat I have replaced the DHW heat exchanger due to scaling up, fitted a combimate. This sorted that problem,

Recently the DHW has got intermittent with getting hot. The CH works fine, rads get nice and hot.

I have replaced the Divertor valve as thought it might be this, but now since changing the DV the DHW is only luke warm through all taps, shower etc. However if I turn a basin hot tap on and then the shower, the water comes through hot. - it is as it needs a large flow volume to get the hot water through otherwise it is warm.

I have thermistors coming to replace, but if this does not work, could it be the PCB?

Check ur shower first it sounds as if it's passing through the seals on the back, see if u can isolate it an try hot water again. If the showers passing it makes ALL the hot water taps run Luke warm

+1. Turn off the cold at the cold isolation valve on the boiler, then see if there is any water flow from the hot taps. There should be none. If there is then as Bunnyman says cold is passing through the shower. Is it a Briston by any chance...
