Just found out that whilst roughcasting my house my, now fired, builder did not cover the flue for my boiler and filled the flue full of Dorset Pea! I've scooped out what I can very carefully but cannot guarantee that some has not fallen down into the boiler itself. Can anyone advise if there is a filter or other such thing that can be checked and cleaned? Should I be concerned?

There isn't a filter, and you should be concerned.
Have the boiler checked properly by an RGI before using.

Thanks for the speedy reply. With no filter of the likes does that mean that, unlikely as it may seem, wildlife can make it's way into the boiler?
Regarding "concern" what's the main worry? Lack of airflow? Chuckies pinging around in the burners?
Thanks again.

If it's gone down the air intake you could end up with it ruining your fan very quickly, if it's gone into the exhaust part of the flue then you could end up with all manner of problems. The boiler needs the flue removing and checking, and the internals it's connected to stripping out and cleaning before it's used again. You might get the odd spider in there but there should be enough of a grating on the flue to stop anything bigger getting in
